Company History 
Laping, Sayers Associates was founded in 1985 by Toby Laping, Ph.D., L.M.S.W. and Margaret Sayers, N.P, Toby and Margaret were pioneers in the field of geriatric care management. In 1993 Toby continued her care management work as Toby Laping Associates. The firm was delighted to announce in July 2008 the change to Laping, Surdej Associates, LLC. Kristin Surdej worked for the firm under Toby Laping for 13 years before becoming the new owner. We have changed and grown over the years, but our commitment and dedication to providing the high quality of professional and knowledgeable service that our reputation is known for remains the same.
The firm is based in Buffalo, New York. The care managers on staff provide consultations, assessments, advocacy, development of care plans and on-going monitoring. Selected staff members are certified as court evaluators and are available for consultation in guardianship/Article 81 proceedings. We work with individuals, families and other professionals who serve the older adult population, including nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, attorneys, accountants and financial planners.
